Education builds confidence, strengthens skills, and opens doors to new opportunities. Our goal is to connect residents with GED preparation and educational resources through Gaston College, offering guidance and encouragement as they work toward earning their high school equivalency credential and building a brighter future.
How Will Abraham’s House Support My Education?
While residents pursue their GED through educational programs such as those offered by Gaston College, Abraham’s House aims to provide encouragement, transportation assistance, and a supportive environment for learning.
GED Preparation, in general
General information, not specific to Abraham’s house foundation.
GED preparation helps students prepare for the General Educational Development (GED) test, a four-part high school equivalency exam designed to demonstrate knowledge and skills comparable to those gained through a traditional high school education. The exam covers four subject areas: mathematical reasoning, science, social studies, and reasoning through language arts. Preparation may include lessons, practice tests, and individualized study plans.
